Hydraulic beet handling with intake hopper and washing plant
A hydraulic transport system with an intake hopper and a sugar beet washing installation for the Cupcini plant — equipment sized on the processing throughput of the beet campaign.

Contextul
The Cupcini sugar plant processes sugar beet. The beet arrives at the plant straight from the field, so it is loaded with soil, stones and plant residue, and the first stage of the process is moving it from the intake point and washing it before processing.
Beet processing runs as a campaign: the plant works intensively for a limited period of the year, at maximum capacity, and the equipment at the start of the flow has to be sized for the peak throughput of the campaign — not for an annual average.

What problem it solved
Hydraulic transport moves the beet and, at the same time, begins removing the soil — the two operations are no longer separate stages, which shortens the flow from intake to processing.
Sizing for the peak of the campaign rather than for an average is the specific requirement of the sugar industry: the plant runs at maximum capacity for a short period each year, and a bottleneck at intake blocks the entire process.
