Contextul
Romchim Protect produces fertilisers. Fertiliser compositions are chemically aggressive: nitrogen-based salts and compounds attack ordinary steel, and equipment built in an under-specified material corrodes exactly where the mixing happens — that is, exactly where it cannot easily be repaired.
On top of that, fertiliser production works in campaigns: the machines run permanently for long periods, and an unplanned stoppage at the peak of the season costs more than the machine.
