Contextul
Cemacon produces ceramic blocks for masonry. In a ceramics plant, material moves continuously between stages — from raw clay through to the fired product — and conveying is not an auxiliary operation but what sets the pace of the whole line: an under-sized route becomes the bottleneck that limits the output of every other machine.

What problem it solved
The routes were sized on the real throughput of the line rather than on a catalogue standard — in a ceramics plant, conveying that cannot keep up becomes the capacity limit of the whole production.
